Åland is an autonomous demilitarized region of Finland. The flag of Åland features a yellow Nordic cross with an interior red Nordic cross and a blue background. The flag was adopted in 1954 as the official flag of Åland, but there was an unofficial flag before the official used from 1921–1954.
