Amarillo is a city in the state of Texas, United States, and the county seat of Potter County, though most of the southern half of the city extends into Randall County.

Description

The flag of Amarillo is white with the city seal in the center.

1941 Flag

Description

The flag is a blue background with two borders of yellow and red. At the center contains a globe with red waters and a map of North and Central America, with its' location marked by a red star. A depiction of the longhorn's head sits on top of the globe. At the bottom of the globe, is a white ribbon saying "IN CHARTA" in white, and in a Stencil D font, adorned by blue bonnets, and a white cowboy hat.

History

It was adopted in 1941 and was designed by Colonel Edward Raley.
