The Flag of Arauca Department Is Official Since 1979, by Decree Number 090, then as Arauca National Intendency.

The flag consists of two equal horizontal stripes, the upper one being red (red) and the lower one emerald (green). Its dimensions are 2.40 meters long by 1.80 meters wide, which gives a ratio of 3 high by 4 wide.2
