Arizona redesign.png|This redesign uses the same # of colors (4) as the original. While the Colorado River is obviously important to the state, I think having 1/2 of the flag blue overemphasizes it geographically. In this redesign I've made the blue look more like a river than a vast waterbody and made the copper a larger portion of the bottom half. This also gives the flag a more desert-like, Arizona feel to it than the current one.

ArizonaAlt2.png|Here's a redesign of mine which uses less blue than before to represent the colorado river, while adding another meaning to the blue with a triangle representing the mountains in the state. The color order of the rays have been swapped as well. Design by Arizonan Eagle

Revision as of 06:37, January 18, 2019

The flag of Arizona consists of 13 rays of red and weld-yellow on the top half, the colors of the flag of Spain, representing the 13 original states. The red and yellow also symbolize Arizona's picturesque sunsets. The copper star represents the copper mining industry in Arizona. The rest of the flag is colored blue, representing the Colorado River.
