Description[]
The flag of Brunssum is a rectangular flag with a height-to-length ratio of 3:2, with two equal bands, blue above and red below. The municipal coat of arms is placed in the centre, with a height of 3/10 of the short side of the flag.
Symbolism[]
The flag bears a strong resemblance to an earlier unofficial flag, but has a smaller coat of arms. The colours of the stripes are derived from those of the coat of arms.
