Buk District (Description[]
The flag of Buk District is a white background with the district's logo in the center atop a text which reads "부산광역시 북구" in blue.
Symbolism[]
The red semicircle at the top represents two peaks beneath the rising sun, symbolizing Geumjeongsan Mountain and Baekyangsan Mountain. This imagery expresses a bright and hopeful future, along with the ongoing development of our hometown. The five peaks correspond to Geumjeongsan Mountain and Baekyangsan Mountain, which are notable natural landmarks of our area. They also represent the five neighborhoods of Gupo, Geumgok, Hwamyeong, Deokcheon, and Mandeok, highlighting the harmony and united patriotism of the residents.
Additionally, the inverted triangle symbolizes the Nakdong River, which has deep historical significance to the district. Its shape not only represents a strong advance toward the future, built on our rich history, but also embodies the magpie, the symbolic bird of the Nakdong River and the district, taking flight. The two white lines signify convenient transportation links between the city center and the outskirts, illustrating Buk-gu's powerful outreach into the world.
