The flag of the Province was adopted on April 27, 1954 and is made up of three equal horizontal stripes, with the colors GREEN, YELLOW and RED, six stars in the center correspond to the cantons Tulcán, Montúfar, Espejo, Mira, Bolívar and San Pedro de Huaca, if a new canton were created, a tower on the coat of arms or a star on the flag will be automatically incorporated.
