The Flag of Catamarca Province Is Official Since August 25, 2011.

The flag has a rectangular shape with a total proportion of 90cm high by 1.80cm wide, formed by a field divided into four parts. At the edges it has a gold-colored filleting, which represents the hereditary cultural wealth that the province possesses. Meanwhile, the upper side is light blue and white, representing the sky, the national ensign and the mantle of the Virgin. At the bottom, it has a blood red stripe, which represents "the mixture of our blood." In the center, in the union of colors, a sun was designed, inspired by the sun of the Incas. On the sides of it, a crown of olive trees was designed, made up of 16 leaves, representing all the departments of the province.
