The flag of Eritrea features a large red triangle stretching from one side of the flag to the other which separates the flag into three pieces. The other two pieces are green and red. Finally, there is an emblem of a wreath surrounding an olive branch inside the red triangle. The green in the flag stands for agriculture and livestock, the blue represents the bounty of the sea, and the red stands for the 30-year struggle for independence from Ethiopia also represented by the 30 leaves on the olive branch shown on the flag's emblem.
