Flag of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship - the symbol of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. This flag shows a golden plate with the aspect ratio of 5: 8, with a centrally placed black Lower Silesian eagle.

History[]

The flag of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship was adopted by the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Parliament by Resolution No. XXVI / 483/2000 of October 27, 2000. This flag showed two horizontal stripes (top white, bottom red) and the coat of arms of the Lower Silesia Province, i.e. a black eagle on a golden coat of arms.

It was abolished after the Lower Silesian Voivode had lodged a complaint with the Sejmik by Resolution No. No. XXI / 298/08 of January 31, 2008.

The new flag was established by Resolution No. XXXI / 496/08 of the Lower Silesian Regional Assembly of October 30, 2008.

After the negative opinion of the Heraldic Commission on July 23, 2009 by Resolution No. XLIII / 696/09 of the Lower Silesian Regional Assembly, the design of the new flag was adopted. This flag was established by the Resolution No. XLVII / 810/09 of the Lower Silesian Regional Assembly of December 17, 2009.
