The Flag of Apure state Is Official Since April 23, 1997.

The Apure State flag was selected in a contest organized by the Apure State Executive on July 22, 1996. Its authors were Juan Antonio Blanco Meléndez and Josefina Alvarado. The flag of the Apure State is composed of three horizontal stripes of yellow, blue and green colors and on the left side a white triangle in whose center is the coat of arms of this state.

Colors And Elements[]

Yellow: Symbolizes the sun and wealth of the state, such as oil and other minerals.

Blue: symbolizes the Apure river, which gives its name to the state and the hydric resources and fishing wealth of the state.

Seven Stars: Represent the Seven Municipalities of Apure State.

Green: Represents the plains and fertility.

White Triangle: symbolizes the Purity, Valor and integrity.
