The flag of Fremont, California, are 13 red and white stripes with a blue canton with an eagle and 26 stars inside.
Symbolism[]
The flag was a popular version of Capt. John C. Fremont. The 26 stars represent the 26 states in the USA at the time the flag was created. The peace pipe was added in belief that Native Americans seeing the flag would understand it better than another traditional European symbol such as an olive branch.
2004 NAVA survey[]
The flag ranked 20th on the 2004 NAVA city flag survey, with a score of 6.79 out of 10.
