Korean: 강북구; RR: Gangbuk-gu) is one of the 25 districts of Seoul, located southwest of Dobong, west of Nowon, north of Seongbuk, east of Goyang, and south of Yangju.
Gangbuk District (Description[]
The flag of Gangbuk District is a white background with the district's logo in the center atop a text which reads "강북구" (RR: Gangbuk-gu) in dark brown.
Symbolism[]
The visual core element of Gangbuk-gu is inspired by the shape of the three peaks of Bukhansan. The energy of Bukhansan, along with the Uicheon Stream flowing in the valley below, signifies Gangbuk-gu as the source of Seoul's prosperity and the vitality of its people. The mountain's soaring form symbolizes an enterprising spirit, while the oval shape represents development through a sense of unity, abundant green natural spaces, and harmony among the residents.
