Gangnam District (Korean: 강남구; RR: Gangnam-gu) is one of the 25 districts of Seoul, bordering Songpa to the east, Seocho to the west, Yongsan, Seongdong, and Gwangjin to the north across the Han River, and Seongnam to the south.

Symbolism[]
The dynamic oval shape represents an enterprising attitude that embraces change and innovation, always moving forward without fear. The initials “ㄱ” (giyeok) and “ㄴ” (nieun) of Gangnam-gu touch each other, symbolizing the solidarity and communication among residents, as well as the connectivity of the area as a global city. The rounded corners reflect values that are friendly to citizens.
