The flag of Guam shows the territorial coat of arms on a marine blue field and was adopted in 1948. A red border was added in 1960.
The coat of arms shows a proa boat sailing on Agaña Bay and a palm tree. The shield's lens-like shape represents the shape of a Chamorro sling stone.
