Symbolism[]
The green triangle shape at the top of the logo represents Achasan Mountain, a key landmark in Gwangjin-gu and an important historical site of Goguryeo culture. The inverted triangle symbolizes Achasan Mountain as it is reflected in the Han River. In the center, the shape of a sailboat represents "Gwangnaru," a ferry port on the Han River during the Joseon Dynasty, which is also the origin of the name Gwangjin. The dynamic ellipse, tilted at a 30-degree angle, signifies Gwangjin-gu's powerful leap into the future and the unity of its residents. The color green represents Gwangjin-gu's abundant green spaces and leisurely culture, white symbolizes its long history and bright future, and blue reflects the clear waters of the Han River and the clean environment.
