The Actual Flag of Kamchatka Krai Is Official Since February 17, 2010.

The Flag is a horizontal bi colour of white and blue charged with an emblem. The emblem is a modification of the Coat of Arms of Kamchatka Krai: three snow-capped volcano peaks on the backdrop of a red sun framed by an ornament.

The ratio of the width of the flag of the Kamchatka Krai (Territory) to its length is 2: 3. The ratio of horizontal stripes in width is 2: 1. The ratio of the square to the flag square of the Kamchatka Krai (Territory) is 1: 4. The ratio of the height of the figures of the coat of arms of the Kamchatka Krai (Territory) to the width of the flag of the Kamchatka Krai (Territory) is 1: 6.

Kamchatka Krai (Territory) was formed on July 1, 2007, as a result of the merger of Kamchatka Oblast and Koryak Autonomous Okrug, based on the voting in a referendum on the issue on October 23, 2005. The okrug retains the status of a special administrative division of the krai, under the name of Koryak Okrug.
