The flag of the region quartered in the Scandinavian way, colors yellow, red, blue and yellow. The ratio is 2:3 as usual.
Coat of Arms: Square shield, the first field red-blue divided, in the upper two silver logs, in the lower silver, standing, taking off bird with gold armor, in the second, red field gold, two-tailed lion in a jump, the third field divided with the upper gold field with growing green, two-leafed branch of a vine with an upward growing red grape, the lower three times silver-red divided. In the fourth, blue field, a silver castle with one tower and an open blue gate. The fourth field is identical to the fourth field of the emblem of the Banská Bystrica Region.
