The Flag of Melekeok is divided in six red rays separated by a white fimbration, in the middle of the flag is placed a white disk charged with a blue bird with yellow feet, holding a chelebucheb in the it beak. the six rays represent the six traditional hamlets forming melekeok.
Symbolism[]
The sun indicates that Melekeok is facing the east where the sun rises. The six sun rays represent the six hamlets of Melekeok. The bird, the 'Paluan money bird' or Bai-ra-Irrai (a Far Eastern curlew), is holding Palauan money known as chelbucheb.
