Moscow (Russian:Москва, Moskva) is the capital and largest city of Russia.

The flag was adopted on 24 September 1994 and modified on 1 February 1995.

Description

The flag of Moscow is a dark red banner of arms charged as the arms of the city in the center. It displays Saint George wearing armor and a blue cape with a golden lance in his right-hand riding on a silver horse. He is shown stabbing a zilant with a lance.

The proportions are 2:3.

The version of 1994 of the flag has a red (scarlet) background instead of dark red.
