The Flag of Nariño Department consists of two horizontal stripes distributed in equal parts. Yellow And Green The flag is exactly the same, in colors and proportions, as the flag of Vichada.
Yellow: represents magnanity, mercy, generosity, wealth, love, power, constancy and the wealth of the mines, the spikes in season and the beating hearts of patriotism
Green: represents the honor, abundance and fertility; although the fertility of the fields and the hope are also exalted
