Flag proposal "American Republic" by Wcaden.
This is a simple tweak of the current flag. The single 37 pointed star represents the 37 states that came after the following states: Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Virginia, New York, North Carolina, and Rhode Island. The rest remains the same.
51-star U.S. flag proposal.
This is a simple tweak of the current flag. The single star represents the entire Union. The wreath represents abundant blessing, excellence and sovereignty (an allusion to ancient Greek and Roman times). The rest remains the same.
"51 States" With admission of PR maybe in 2018, the US will need a new layout. This one saves having to count all the stars if they are arranged in this layout. Design by Rotten Ali

Design by "Flag Mashup Bot". The three points of the red triangle represent the demographics of the US, in this case American Indians, natural-born Americans, and naturalized Americans, alluding to the U.S. being a nation of immigrants. The stars at the top and bottom are bisected, representing a continuing Union of states and the hope that more will states will accede in the future. The red triangle also represents American Indians and North America's soil, such as Georgia's red clay and Utah's monument valley.
Design by "Flag Mashup Bot". The three points of the blue triangle represent the demographics of the US, in this case American Indians, natural-born Americans, and naturalized Americans, alluding to the U.S. being a nation of immigrants. The stars at the top and bottom are bisected, representing a continuing Union of states and the hope that more will states will accede in the future.
Design by "Flag Mashup Bot". The horizontal design invokes the U.S. stretching from 'sea to shining sea'.
Design by "Flag Mashup Bot". Invokes the U.S. soccer team's jersey used during the mid-to-late 2000s. The two blue triangles represent the two oceans that straddle the United States, the Pacific and the Atlantic.
Design by "Flag Mashup Bot". Invokes the French flag as a tribute to French support during the U.S. Revolutionary War. It is the flag of republican France, to symbolize that the American Revolution helped inspire the French one.

U.S. flag proposal by
Laqueesha. Author's note: I have chosen to place a wheel in the center of the flag, representing how central the wheel has been to the US throughout its history. Many Americans' ancestors came to the US by boats and ships, which are steered with a wheel and the US is a traditional maritime power by extension. Wheels were used in water mills, Conestoga ox-wagons, and sewing machines in the early US, important to its industry. More recently, in the 20th and 21st centuries, the automobile, which has wheels and is steered with one, has been central to contemporary US life. The wheel on the flag also features a cross and saltire, resembling the UK's flag, the former ruler of the US.

Laqueesha. Inspired by the landscape of the Great Plains. Green is grass, blue is sky, white is clouds. The three colors also represent the three pillars the U.S. was founded on: Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
U.S. flag proposal by Copperballs. Inspired by Hans' five stripe design. Symbolism is rather simple - 13 stars for 13 original colonies, then 7 stripes for 7 modern regions - New England, the Mid-Atlantic, the South, the Midwest, the Southwest, the Mountain West, and the West Coast.

Similar to the redesign containing 50 stars but now fixed to have 51
This is a major tweak of the current flag. The simplified State symbols in the blue square (which was a small canton until now) (which replace the single stars and respect the rules & regulations of the NAVA.) represent the states and the arrangement of them (nine horizontal rows, where six alternate with five) The six white stripes on a red field on either side of the center stripe (blue) all represent the thirteen British colonies that declared independence from Great Britain, and became the first states in the U.S., and also allude to the phrase, "From Sea to Shining Sea". The design in question resembles the flags of Catalonia, and Canada (design wise).
Same the current flag. The dark turquoise blue represents the natural beauty of the USA, the grey represents the unity of all peoples, and red the blood shed to do so.
Basically a flag that acknowledges the emotions that informed where the USA has been and the spirit of where it may go, with joy and forgiveness as possibilities for which nobody can ignore how they got here, to the extent that maybe they can move toward a different, even better place. The yellow, green and blue squares which replace the thirteen stripes represent the following: (counterclockwise) Repairing systemic racism, taking care of our planet, and untapped potential. Red and white represent our past and future respectively. The six stripes that replace the fifty stars represent the following: (left to right) fear, forgiveness, anger, joy, and pride. By Andrew Kuo.
flag combines the current flag with the rainbow of the LGBTQ+ flag with colored stripes representing the diversity of skin tones that make up the American people.
This flag honors the 573 American Indian and Alaska Native nations that far predate 1776 and the people that came after them. The stripes on the other canton represents natural coastal boundaries, while the top and bottom (North and South) borders remain free and open.
This flag reminds us that we are no different from each other; we are all humans.
The elements in this flag are the same, but are redone with intent to suggest interdependency and togetherness. The two elements are interwoven to create a “fabric.” Interweaving suggests that we depend on one another and that as a whole, America is a fabric, held together by equality.
