Quezon, officially the Province of Quezon, and historically known as Tayabas, is a province in the Philippines located in the Calabarzon region on Luzon.
Description[]
The flag of Quezon Province is a blue background with the provincial seal in the center.
Seal[]
The seal of Quezon Province features a stylized bust of the late President Manuel L. Quezon, after whom the province is named. The design includes an equidistant background divided into blue on the left and red on the right, with a white pile at the top. The bust is supported by two white lion-headed dolphins on a gold background, which are a historic symbol in Philippine heraldry and were originally presented to the capital of the Philippines by King Philip II of Spain.
In the foreground, a coconut palm represents the province's primary industry. In the background, Mount Banahaw, a prominent landmark, rises against a blue sky, with a light blue sea below. Above the palm, a rainbow of hope is depicted, symbolizing aspirations for a better future, an idea central to the life and work of Manuel Quezon. The rainbow includes six colors, listed from top to bottom: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.[1]
