The flag of Quindío Departament is made up of three vertical stripes of equal proportions, in green the one on the left, yellow the central one and Red purple the right.
Green: Represents the vast vegetation of the department, and agriculture.
Yellow: Represents the gold of the Quimbaya culture, which inhabited the area, as well as the department's great contribution to the country's economy.
Red Purple: is the color of the coffee bean when it is ready to be picked, which represents an expression of maturity, since coffee is the most important product in the department.
