The Flag of the Archipelago Department of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina was created by Professor Jesus Rafael Torres Ariza, after winning the contest for the creation of emblems of the Archipelago, organized by the Intendant of the Islands, General Ernersto Carrasco.
Light Blue: immensity and depth
White: Purity, honesty and honesty.
