San Antonio, Texas, has gone through 3 flags, with the current one being adopted in 1992.
Current flag (1992-present)[]
The flag is a vertical bicolor of blue and red, with a big white star in the center. Inside the star is a black-outlined Alamo.
Symbolism[]
The red, white, and blue are official colors of Texas. In addition, the blue and red symbolize loyalty and blood, which every loyal Texan has.
The Alamo illustration represents not only the battle and fort, but the city's role in the entirety of the Texas Revolution.
The big white star represents the "Lone Star State" nickname of Texas.
The flag bears resemblence to several other cities of Texas, like Houston and Dallas.

The flag scored a total of 7.79/10, and was ranked as the 13th best flag, beating Des Moines, and behind Jackson.
Former flag (1976-1992)[]
The former flag of San Antonio is the same as the current flag, but with a much brighter blue and red, and the words "SAN ANTONIO", split between the first point of the star, and "TEXAS", on the bottom of the star. The proportions of the flag are 10:19.
First flag (1917-1976)[]
The first flag of San Antonio was a white field with a blue silhouette of Texas, with "SAN ANTONIO" written in white within the border. An Alamo illustration was placed roughly on the location of the city within the state. The flag had a dark-colored binding, likely blue, and measured 48 inches by 65 inches.
