The current flag is a white field with a yellow border, with a phoenix spreading its' wings above a shape that resembles fire. Under it is the motto "Oro en Paz- Fierro En Guerra", with the words "SAN FRANCISCO" in blue text on the bottom.

2004 NAVA survey[]

The current flag scored 5.14 in the survey, and was ranked as the 35th almost good flag, behind Albany, New York.

The flag is the same as the current flag but with no yellow border and "SAN FRANCISCO" word, and the phoenix and the motto being in the center of the flag.
