Syria, officially the Syrian Arab Republic, is a country in West Asia located in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Levant.
The current version of the flag of Syria is known as the Revolution flag, which has a 2:3 aspect ratio and is based on the Independence flag, which had a 1:2 aspect ratio and was previously used by the First and Second Syrian Republic.

The current flag, with a 2:3 aspect ratio, is a modified version of the original independence flag.
Interpretation of the Colors[]
The flag features the pan-Arab colors of green, black, white, and red.
