Trenton is the capital city of the state of New Jersey, United States.

The flag of Trenton is divided vertically in half, blue at the hoist and yellow at the fly, with the city's seal in the center.
Symbolism[]
The horse’s head and wheat shaves represent agriculture, an important economic resource when the area was first settled by English Quakers in 1679, both appear on the state seal, and are appropriate symbols for the capital city of New Jersey, “The Garden State”. The year "1792" is the date their state legislature granted. Blue and yellow have been the city’s official colors.
