Tui is a municipality in the province of Pontevedra in Galicia. It is located in the county (comarca) of O Baixo Miño on the north bank of the Miño River, facing the Portuguese town of Valença.
Description[]
The Flag of Tui is a triband in the following order: blue, white, and blue.[1] The shade of blue may vary.
History[]
The flag dates back to at least the late 19th century, but fell into disuse during the civil war and subsequent dictatorship. The municipality used unofficial flags of eight or ten vertical blue and white stripes until the traditional triband design was officially restored by citizen request in 2016.
