Yongsan District (Korean: 용산구; RR: Yongsan-gu) is one of the 25 districts of Seoul, bordering the districts of Jung to the north, Mapo to the northwest, Yeongdeungpo and Dongjak to the southwest, Seocho and Gangnam to the southeast, and Seongdong to the northeast.

Description[]

The flag of Yongsan District is a white background with the district's logo in the center atop a text which reads "용산구" (RR: Yongsan-gu) in black.

Symbolism[]

The emblem features a green Namsan, representing Yongsan as a pleasant district and reflecting the clean and cheerful hearts of its citizens. The N Seoul Tower, standing tall, connects the Han River and Namsan, symbolizing the enterprising spirit of Yongsan residents who strive for harmonious development. The Han River, the nation’s lifeline flowing gently through Yongsan, is depicted in a clear and vibrant blue, symbolizing the area's rich history and its ongoing prosperity. The red circle, reminiscent of a rising sun, signifies a bright future and hope, while the dynamic oval shape represents Seoul as a forward-thinking, global city. This emphasizes Yongsan’s role as the heart of Seoul and its position as a cutting-edge information hub.
